
Hi Friend, Let’s chat about your virtual somatic therapy session!
As you embark on this journey of self-discovery and healing, it's important to create space for surrender and expansion within yourself. In this blog post, I'll guide you through what to expect during your session with me as your facilitator of somatic therapy.
First and foremost, it's essential to prepare yourself mentally and emotionally for the experience. Allow yourself to let go of any expectations and be open to whatever arises during the session, knowing everything that comes is for healing. Somatic therapy delves into the connection between our emotions and our bodies (this is a great time to have our brain not be the one always talking ;) ). This is about your bodies experience! Having a box of tissues nearby can be helpful as we navigate through potentially deep and emotional territories of what normally may not always get a say.
During our session, we'll focus on embodied somatics' , which involves understanding ourselves from a holistic perspective—mind, body, and soul. Through somatic experiences, we'll explore the sensations and emotions present in your body, allowing you to gain insight into the root causes of any discomfort, trauma, limiting beliefs or unease you may be experiencing.
As your guide and facilitator, I'll help you tap into your body's wisdom and energy, guiding you through exercises and bodywork techniques aimed at releasing tension, trauma, emotions, limiting beliefs, and anxiety.
By embracing this holistic approach to healing, we'll work together to restore balance and harmony within your entire being, one step at a time (Hello, regulated Nervous System! We are all here for that!).
Somatic therapy has been known to help as a holistic treatment for anxiety, providing a safe space for you to explore and process your emotions in a supportive environment. Through this transformative journey, you'll discover a deeper connection to yourself and a newfound sense of empowerment as you navigate life's challenges with greater resilience and self-awareness. Our bodies are talking to us, we need to give them space to speak and for us to listen.

Things That Could Helpful:
A safe space to do this work, you can be sitting, standing, or lying down at different parts (light some Palo Santo or Sage, maybe even a candle if that feels good to you)
Comfy clothes and a blanket (team no bra here, when I can! Don’t worry- not during our session! But no judgment if you choose to)
Background music- check out singing bowl, healing hertz, or spa like music. We’re turning up the ZEN!
Tissues- the emotions will be flowing- that is our goal here
Water to drink
Remember, we will only go where the body is ready to heal. Around here, we honor the “yes”, and the “no” of the body!
